Amy got this can of Mountain Dew Kickstart free at the grocery store. It’s not really my kind of drink but I thought it was a cool looking can. So I decided to photograph it with a little water. The setup is pretty simple, suspend the can, put one speedlite to the right and slightly behind the can, one speedlite to the left and slightly in front of the can, and one speedlite on the background. The rest is timing. Throw some water at the can and hit the shutter. The rest is done in Photoshop.
Camera settings: Exposure 1/160, f/7.1, ISO 400, 105 mm
Speedlites: the 2 from the side were set at 1/128th power the background lite at 1/64th power with a blue gel. All in manual mode.
